Viral video: Here's how to tell your boss you are quitting

NEW DELHI: It is the video everyone is talking about — and every angry employee wishes they had made.
Marina Shifrin, 25, quit her job at a Taiwanese animation company recently. So, what’s different? She quit in style!
Shifrin uploaded a video of herself dancing to the Kanye West’s ‘Gone’ on Youtube. You can watch it here.
The video begins with "It's 4.30am and I am at work", and goes on to mention that Marina gave up her social life, relationships and time for her career producing news videos for the company.
She further adds, “I work for an awesome company that makes news videos. I have put my entire life into this job, but my boss only cares about quantity, how fast we write and how many views each video gets. I believe it's more important to focus on the quality of the content. When you learn to improve this, the views will come.”
The ‘performance’ is brought to a dramatic conclusion when her main message "I quit" appears at the end.
In a Skype chat with the Huffington Post, Shifrin claimed that she got no lunch break and her boss was constantly changing her schedule and responsibilities.
The video went viral on the internet and in just a couple of days got over 7.5 million views.
But the story didn't end there.
Social media being the great equalizer that it is, her former employer, Next Media Animation was quick to get back with a tongue-in-cheek response -- their own dance video, wishing Shifrin the very best and announcing 'yep … we’re hiring!' (Watch video)
The video shows off the company's rooftop pool and spa, making a great case for why someone might want to apply for the ‘now-vacated’ position. Looks like the company will have the last laugh.
